Software built for the hardware it runs on.

Firmware engineering for connected devices, custom electronics and industrial embedded systems.

Make your device behave reliably

Embedded software sits between your electronics and the behaviour your customers rely on. We help define the device states, interfaces and timing requirements, then develop and test the firmware around those constraints.

Projects can include bare-metal firmware or an RTOS-based application, peripheral integration, sensor acquisition and communication with a gateway or cloud backend. The architecture should reflect the device’s memory, power and response-time requirements.

Firmware development scope

  • Device drivers, peripheral interfaces and board bring-up support.
  • Bare-metal and RTOS application development.
  • Sensor acquisition, control logic and communications.
  • Fault handling, diagnostics and firmware update planning.
  • Integration testing with hardware and backend services.

Existing firmware needs attention?

Share the target hardware, toolchain, current behaviour and a reproducible description of the issue. We can scope a code review, debugging engagement or feature extension. Access to source code and representative hardware is typically needed to reproduce device-level problems.

Plan for the device lifecycle

Discuss how devices will be provisioned, updated, diagnosed and supported after deployment. These choices affect both hardware design and the cloud backend.

Tell us what you are building

We welcome project enquiries from India, the USA, Germany and other European and international markets. Scope, timelines and deliverables are agreed for each engagement.

Common questions

What clients ask before starting

What kinds of firmware do you write?

Device drivers, bare-metal firmware and RTOS-based applications that connect hardware to sensors, interfaces and, where the product calls for it, a network or backend.

Can you work with firmware we already have?

Yes. Existing code can be extended, ported or debugged. We start by reading what is there and agreeing what should be kept, replaced or documented before making changes.

How is firmware handed over?

Source code, build instructions, toolchain and version details, flashing procedure and known limitations. Our firmware handover checklist sets out what to ask for from any firmware supplier, including us.

Do you support over-the-air updates?

Where the hardware, memory layout and connectivity allow it, an update mechanism can be designed in. This is a decision to make early, because it affects bootloader design and flash partitioning.

How is firmware tested?

Testing is matched to the product: bench testing against the real hardware, exercising interfaces and error paths, and checking behaviour on power loss and loss of connectivity. The approach is agreed as part of the scope.
