iTechGeeks engineering
Give your engineering partner a useful starting point.
Separate what is known from what still needs investigation.
Describe the outcome
- What problem should the product solve, and for whom?
- What does success look like in a test?
- What exists already: an idea, design files, code or samples?
Define the boundaries
- Operating environment, power and physical constraints.
- Interfaces, data formats and external systems.
- Expected quantities, locations and timeline.
- Budget range and included third-party costs.
Agree the outputs
List expected files, prototypes, documentation, test evidence and handover activities. Name the reviewers and acceptance responsibilities. Mark uncertainty rather than presenting it as a fixed requirement.
Protect confidential material
Start with a non-confidential overview. Discuss an NDA and an appropriate transfer method before sharing sensitive files.
